Five days of all things Latinx theater, classical to contemporary, solo and ensemble. Collaboratively produced by The Sol Project, North Star Projects, and Pregones/PRTT, in partnership with Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre and La Gente: The Latinx Theatre Design Network. IN PERSON – 4:00pm on November 14, 2021 – The Open Gates Project: Inaugural Season presents THE DIVINE FEMININE: Centering Women of Color in Early Music featuring thirteen extraordinary women musicians. From the works of Cozzolani, Caccini, and Strozzi, to the texts of New World visionary (and reclaimed Latinx icon) Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, the artists will explore themes of femininity, culminating in a performance of Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater.
