Vivian Vázquez Irizarry has run educational, GED completion and college access programs for youth across New York City for decades. She is currently the director of community-school partnerships at the New Settlement Community Campus in the Bronx. A former member of the National Congress for Puerto Rican Rights, she belongs to 52 People for Progress, a community organization that saved her childhood playground and revitalized the South Bronx for the last 35 years.

Rosalba Rolón is an accomplished actor, director, and dramaturg specializing in the adaptation of literary and non-literary texts for stage performance with live music, and Artistic Director of Pregones/Puerto Rican Traveling Theater. Distinctions include United States Artists Fellowship in Theater Arts, Ford Foundation Visionaries Fellowship, 2018 Doris Duke Artist Award, and 2019 Creative Capital Award (with Paul Flores and Yosvany Terry). She is member of the Citizens’ Advisory Committee to the NYC Mayor’s Cultural Plan, and serves on the Boards of National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures/NALAC and United States Artists. She is a member of the Tony Awards Nominating Committee.

Edwin Pagán is a New York-based artist, cultural advocate, and thought leader with over 25 years of hands-on experience in communications, content creation, program development and implementation in the non-profit and commercial sectors, leveraging his narrative massaging skills to craft uniquely relevant marketing and design concurrence campaigns that meet the needs of a diverse target base. He is founding member of acclaimed Bronx photographers collective Seis del Sur, managing director of the Bronx Culture Collective (BxCC), and founder-in-chief of media brand Latino Horror.

Elena Martínez has been a Folklorist at City Lore since 1997 and is also currently the Co-Artistic Director of the Bronx Music Heritage Center. She has produced and curated numerous documentary film projects and exhibitions including the ALMA Award winning From Mambo to Hip Hop: A South Bronx Tale and “Nueva York: 1613-1945” at El Museo del Barrio. Her articles have appeared in the peer-reviewed journal, CENTRO by the Center for Puerto Rican Studies and VOICES by the New York Folklore Society. She is currently on the Advisory Boards for Casita Maria’s South Bronx Culture Trail, Center for Puerto Rican Studies, and Los Pleneros de la 21.

Petr Stand, principal at Magnusson Architecture and Planning, has more than 25 years of planning and design experience, with a focus on housing, educational facilities, medical facilities, and urban design. Petr works extensively in affordable housing, and has completed a variety of multi-family developments in the Bronx, including senior housing, townhouses, rental buildings, and condominium buildings. For more than a decade, he worked alongside We Stay/ Nos Quedamos CDC to revitalize the South Bronx neighborhood of Melrose Commons. He has led the design and construction of over 1,000 new affordable units in the neighborhood.
