Saturday, March 7, 8PM – JORGE GLEM & CESAR OROZCO DUO (Traditional Venezuelan Cuatro & Piano) – Grammy-nominated virtuoso Venezuelan cuatro player and mandolinist Jorge Glem, joins forces with Cuban/Venezuelan pianist, composer, arranger, and Latin Grammy nominee César Orozco, in a concert featuring music from their first album as a duo entitled StringWise. Sunday, March 8, 3PM – MORIAH FEINER TRENK (Classical) – Praised for her “fluid and graceful style” (Village News), Moriah Feiner Trenk is current Company Pianist at the prestigious Pennsylvania Ballet. Saturday, March 14, 8PM – ANGÉLICA NEGRÓN & BRONX ARTS ENSEMBLE (Playful New Music) — Fresh from her massive and triumphant Chorus of the Forest installation at New York Botanical Garden, groundbreaking Puerto Rican composer and performer Angélica Negrón joins Bronx Arts Ensemble’s string quartet for all-new arrangements of original works. The evening will include a rich cross-section of Angélica’s compositions from live electronics to strings to piano, with some great surprises in store including a piece written for and performed by adventurous pianist and vocalist Emily Manzo. Sunday, March 15, 3PM – CHANTAL BALESTRI (Classical) — Praised for her “confidence and sound technique” (South Florida Classical Review), Italian/ Swiss pianist Chantal Balestri is an accomplished and versatile musician active in the European and American music scenes. Highlights of her recent career include nomination as President of the New York chapter of the World Piano Teachers Association (WPTA) and her upcoming tour dates in Europe and China. Saturday, March 21, 8PM – HOMMY RAMOS / TROMBEATZ (Fiery Latin Jazz) — Led by Hommy Ramos, with percussionist and co-director Nelson Bello, Trombeatz is a dynamic, cutting edge and totally unique Caribbean jazz ensemble. Their debut album, A Caribbean Thing, was released to great acclaim under Truth Revolution Recording Collective in 2019. The group has performed in Puerto Rico and throughout the eastern U.S., and is known for its high energy and melodic skill. Hommy’s many credits include projects and performances with Andy Montañez, William Cepeda, Johnny Rivera, Danilo Pérez, Giovanny Hidalgo, Paquito D’Rivera, Timbalaye, and Tego Calderón. Sunday, March 22, 3PM – SARA DAVIS BUECHNER (Classical Piano Duos and Trios) — After last year’s masterful MIM concert showcasing Caribbean danzas, Sara Davis Buechner returns to The Bronx accompanied by rising star pianists Sujin Kim and Evelyn Tijandri.  Winners of multiple piano competitions, they will display their lauded abilities in piano combinations for 2, 4, and 6 hands.  Don’t miss this dazzling performance and tribute to concert piano artistry! Saturday, March 28, 8PM – VILLALOBOS BROTHERS (Mexican Jazz/Folk Fusion) — One of today’s leading contemporary Mexican ensembles, known for its show-stopping musicality and charisma, Villalobos Brothers fuse the expressive richness of Mexican folk with the intricate harmonies of jazz and classical music. Their long list of stellar collaborations include Arturo O’Farrill, Bruce Springsteen, Dolly Parton, Antonio Sánchez, Regina Carter, Eduardo Magallanes, Dan Zanes, Sierra Hull, and Ana Tijoux. Sunday, March 29, 3PM – MARIANNA PRJEVALSKAYA (Classical) — Praised by critics as “a grand pianist” (Il Cittadino), Marianna Prjevalskaya has performed with the Cincinnati Symphony, Louisiana Philharmonic, and the National Lithuanian Symphony, and collaborated with renowned many great conductors such as Ion Marin, Roberto Trevino, Carlos Prieto, and David Danzmayr. As a recitalist, Marianna has performed in venues such as the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Accademia Santa Cecilia in Rome, Teatro Goldoni of Florence, Minato Mirai Hall in Yokohama, and Weill Hall in New York.
