Artists In Residence

Our STEP UP ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE for tailored development of new work, is at the center of our in-house artists in residency program. Annually, the program hosts up to 8 artistic projects, ranging from theater to music to dance to film. ATIST SPACE AT PREGONES or ASAP is the other residency project, granting access to our venues during dark days. Participation in STEP UP and ASAP is by invitation only. For more information call 718-585-1202.

Ensemble/Auditions

Our acclaimed acting and music ensemble periodically holds casting calls and auditions, often at the early stages of production development. To get notice of forthcoming opportunities, please sign up for email communications.

Auditions & Casting Calls

Artists demonstrating a strong commitment to the company’s mission are periodically invited to audition for open roles not filled by ensemble members. Ensemble membership is by invitation only, typically after participation in at least 3 mainstage company productions.

Playwrights

Pregones/PRTT’s acclaimed acting and music ensemble produces only original works of its own devising. We are unable to respond or provide feedback on unsolicited manuscripts. Non-ensemble playwrights interested in collaborating with Pregones/PRTT may do so via the following opportunities: 48 Hours in El Bronx (presented in partnership with Harlem 9), Solfest (presented in partnership with The Sol Project), and Step Up Artist In Residency (by invitation).

Partnerships

Pregones/PRTT has earned a sterling local, regional, national, and international reputation on the excellence of our artmaking, mentorship, education, and community building capacities.
