Our annual FREE Summer Block Party with LA CASITA presented in collaboration with Lincoln Center Out of Doors, brings you memorable artists and a one-of-a-kind afternoon!

WHEN: Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 2:30pm to 7:30pm

WHERE: 575 Walton Avenue (between 149 & 150 Streets)

WHO: Poetry — Dakota Camacho, Rashidah Ismaili, Enriqueta Lunez, Haki R. Madhubuti, Willie Perdomo, Julian Randall, Peggy Robles-Alvarado, Sonia Sanchez, Matthew Shenoda, and Yolanda Wisher. Music — Chief Joseph Chatoyer Garifuna Folkloric Ballet, Kelsey Pyro, Lone Piñon, Nina Dilet & The Mysphitz, and Raye Zaragoza. MC — Baba Israel.

WHAT: Through poetry, music, and stories, a powerful community of artist-activists give voice to the everyday heroes working to uphold and extend LGBTQ, women’s, civil, immigrant, and human rights. An afternoon of arts, culture, and community for the entire family! Also featuring a selection of local artisans, wellness and service providers, and news of upcoming events at Pregones/Puerto Rican Traveling Theater.
