Pregones Theater

Experience Torched! – The Concert, a powerful performance of Pregones/PRTT’s acclaimed production exploring the complex legacy of the Bronx fires of 1970’s New York. Pulsing to the beat of salsa, funk disco, and hip hop, Torched! – The Concert transports audiences between 1970s New York– when the fires gripped headlines– and the present day journey of survival and rebuilding.

Part investigative theater and part poetic fiction, Torched! – The Concert  brings to life the true stories of those who endured the devastation, exposing the harsh realities of the arson-for-profit schemes. Torched! – The Concert pays tribute to the real people who fought back, who continue to seek truth, share their testimonies, and unmask the hidden forces behind the fires. Performed in English and Spanish with titles, Torched! – The Concert is a moving and vital exploration of resistance, resilience, and the enduring spirit of a community.
