A Live Multimedia Experience ASAP Residency

SUPERMAMBO is the world’s first Salsa Comic Book/Salsa Album, a live multimedia experience that combines original music, live performance, illustration, and storytelling. Set in the South Bronx, it tells the story of a local superhero whose greatest power is using music to bring hope and unity to his community. Created by Bronx residents Felipe Fournier and Jeremy Bosch, the project features original illustrations by acclaimed Puerto Rican comic book artist Edgardo Miranda-Rodríguez, creator of La Borinqueña.

The live performance features an outstanding ensemble of New York and Latin American musicians, including members of the Pregones family such as Camilo Molina and Marcos López.

Following the 3:00 PM performance, there will be a special meet-and-greet and signing reception in the lobby. Audience members will have the opportunity to meet the band, purchase the album and comic book, and have them signed by the artists, including Felipe Fournier, Jeremy Bosch, and Edgardo Miranda-Rodríguez, co-creator and illustrator of the comic.

IMPORTANT PERFORMANCE NOTE:

Rubén Blades serves as Narrator and Executive Producer of SUPERMAMBO. While he will not be appearing in person at this event, his voice is an integral part of the experience through specially produced prerecorded narrations presented between songs, exactly as they appear on the 17-track SUPERMAMBO album.
