An Interactive Performance By Anonymous Ensemble

Recuerdo/ I Remember invites audiences to explore both the remarkable process of the creation of memory and its fallibilities. This gently interactive performance involves the careful handling of mementos, the dusting-off of obsolete media, and the recollection of the fine-feathered bed of a Cuban immigrant couple in Miami in the 1990s.

Recuerdo / I Remember invita al público a explorar tanto el extraordinario proceso de creación de la memoria como sus fallas. Esta presentación es delicada en su interactividad, e implica el manejo cuidadoso de recuerdos, sacudir el polvo de medios obsoletos y la evocación de una cama de plumas de una pareja de inmigrantes cubanos en Miami en la década de 1990.

Anonymous Ensemble

Founded in Brooklyn in 2001, AnEn has devised new performances, interactive media, and unique theatrical events every year. We have performed in theaters, found spaces, and festivals all over New York City, as well as nationally and internationally. Incorporating original texts, music, rituals, and technologies, we foster intimate experiences between local and digitally global communities. By giving voice and agency to our audiences and collaborators, we celebrate the complexity of the human condition through collective storytelling. The core members of AnEn are Lucrecia Briceño, Eamonn Farrell, Jessica Weinstein, and Liz Davito. For Recuerdo / I Remember, the ensemble is joined by Jesús E. Martínez.
