Theresa Holden is founder and chair of Holden & Arts Associates, a booking and management company serving performing artists and arts presenters since 1983. She is founder/director of the Artist and Community Connection and was a primary collaborator in important intercultural creation projects between Pregones, Roadside Theater (KY), and Junebug Productions (LA). She worked with the three companies to create and produce community cultural development residencies, new plays, and national tours, and served as workshop leader and manager of many national residencies. Theresa has served as project producer for many community-based arts projects across the USA, taught in universities and community organizations, and facilitated collaborative learning sessions with diverse organizations nationally and internationally. She holds a Master of Arts in Theater and is a fellow at New York University’s Research Center for Leadership in Action. Together with the late John O’Neal of Junebug, she won the Ford Foundation’s Leadership for a Changing World Award. Together with Rosalba Rolón of Pregones/PRTT, she is longtime faculty of the Emerging Leaders Institute at the annual Association of Performing Arts Presenters National Conference.
