ABOUT Timbalaye
TIMBALAYE – A septet with a Latin twist and a fresh innovative sound combines contemporary jazz with rhythmic elements from all over Latin America and Africa, as well as Cuba and Puerto Rico. Timbalaye was created by Ralph Irizarry, world renowned percussionist from Spanish Harlem who has performed, recorded and toured with Bebo Valdés, Harry Belafonte, David Byrne, Celia Cruz, Paquito D’Rivera, Juan Luis Guerra, Earl Klug, Israel “Cachao” López, Wynton Marsalis, Paul Simon, and other music giants!
