Afro Dominican Jazz Fusion like no other!
Originating in Dominican Republic and now based in NY, Yasser Tejeda & Palotré is a group that is redefining the Afro Dominican Jazz genre. Conceptualized and led by composer, guitarist, and vocalist Yasser Tejeda, Palotré is uses rock influences and jazz harmonies mixed with the traditional rhythms of Dominican music to make folkloric music more accessible. Palotré’s debut album Mezclansa (2009) was dubbed one of the “100 essential recordings of Dominican music” by Acroarte. Palotré is currently finishing their second album, which will continue to inspire listeners to explore their roots and aims to share this rich culture with wider audiences.
