STAGE GARDEN RUMBA:
Where ART Meets GREEN

¡Una tarde de música, teatro, danza, poesía y celebración enfocada en nuestra gente y por qué EL SUR DEL BRONX TIENE TUMBAO!

We continue our FREE STAGE GARDEN RUMBA LIVE PERFORMANCE series with a visit to Sunshine Garden in the South Bronx. Join us for an afternoon of FREE music, theater, poetry, dance and inspiring conversations with local activists.

WHERE: At Sunshine Garden on 1768 Bryant Avenue, at 174th Street, in The Bronx.

WHAT: It’s an invitation for you and your family to experience some of our boroughs green and underutilized spaces in the company of creative and fearless agents of change! It’s a chance to inspire and get inspired! To kick things off, we showcase short new works by some of your favorite artists in dialogue with local activists. Together we ask, What Makes Our South Bronx Boogie?

FEATURING: Redobles de Cultura (bomba), Mariachi Real de México, Bombazo Dance Company, Flaco Navaja, Calle Joroba, Vejigantes de Pregones, Sandra María Esteves, Crystal Valentine, Sokunthary Svay, Noel Quiñones, Michael Lynch, Sonia González-Martínez, Lourdes “Lulu” García, Loaiza Yari de Rivera, Jaime Rivera Quiñones
