WHAT: It’s an invitation for you and your family to experience some of our boroughs green and underutilized spaces in the company of creative and fearless agents of change! It’s a chance to inspire and get inspired! To kick things off, we showcase short new works by some of your favorite artists in dialogue with local activists. Together we ask, What Makes Our South Bronx Boogie?

The afternoon will culminate with Bomba/Plena à la carte: “An open call-to-action where practitioners of the Puerto Rican folk musical art form gather to play in unison independent of their formal band affiliations, usually as a collective homage to someone they mutually respect, or as a sign of solidarity to the genre itself.”
