Dancing In My Cockroach Killers is conceived by Rosalba Rolón, founder/director of Pregones and winner of the prestigious United States Artists Fellowship in Theater Arts, and first developed as part of a Master Artist tribute to Magdalena Gómez in 2011. The tribute grew into a fully staged production in 2013, in collaboration with the great stage and film pioneer Miriam Colón, founder of the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater. Dancing In My Cockroach Killers is now part of the company’s touring repertory.
