About this month’s Featured Documentary:

OVERCOME, directed by Bianka Widakay.
Anne, a 77 year old African-American woman native of Brooklyn who was molested by three family members from the age of nine until she got married in order to leave the house at nineteen. In the #MeToo era, Anne’s take-no-prisoners attitude toward her experience is refreshing and points the way to overcoming, and her vulnerable honesty offers a true catharsis to the viewer. Anne L Thompson-Scretching is a playwright, director and a five-time winner producer of the Jean Dalrymple Award.

Q&A with director of OVERCOME, Bianka Widakay and Anne L Thompson-Scretching will be held with host Louis E. Perego. (Tio Louie)
